| Unbeknownst to all except for Jii, Jayden wasn't the true keeper of the sealing symbol. Jayden kept the secret of his older sister Lauren mastering the sealing symbol his whole life. Lauren's element is fire and her zord is the Lion, which she uses once when Jayden is incapacitated. When a Nighlok uses a spell to drive the Shiba Clan fire within Jayden, he was out of the battle and Lauren arrives to destroy the monster. Lauren unlike Jayden uses an older version of the Samuraizer, which belonged to her father. Lauren did not grow up with Jayden because she was to be a secret and had to master the sealing symbol. The team was confused what to make of her as Jayden told them she was the new leader and Jayden left the team.
Lauren is a caring and sympathetic individual but also a stern leader and strong fighter. She had been sheltered her whole life so Mia's cooking is real good to her. Lauren understood Kevin's inner turmoil in staying with her while his friends went to save Jayden and she ordered him to go help them. When she had a moment with Antonio, she questioned him on how Jayden was as a kid because he was the only one other than Jii that knew him then. Like he did with Jayden, Mike challenged Lauren but ended up getting bested in training. Lauren tried to seal Xandred in with the Sealing Symbol but failed because he was shielded with Dayu's human side. She was harmed and couldn't battle so she relayed her leadership back to Jayden. Jayden planned to destroy Xandred and not seal him and Lauren gave him a Power Disc made of her Symbol Power. Unfortunately Xandred destroyed it. Lauren made another disc that ultimately unlocked Shogun Mode outside of the Megazord for Jayden to use to defeat Xandred. After the Nighlok were defeated, Lauren bided farewell to her brother and returned home. Chronologically Lauren is the first female Red Samurai Ranger. |
